Consultations as their own booking type

Customers book a consultation first — separate from the actual session. The artist reviews the brief, quotes the design, and either greenlights it or sends it back. Only then does the booking flow open up an actual session date.

Deposits that don't disappear

Five-hour appointments are too valuable to lose to a no-show. Take a non-refundable deposit at booking that applies to the final total. If the customer doesn't show, the deposit is yours. If they do, it comes off the bill.

Each artist, their own portfolio

Every artist gets their own profile page with their own portfolio gallery, their own reviews, their own pricing if it varies. Customers searching "[artist name] tattoos" land on a page that books them, not a generic shop listing.

Multi-session work, tracked

Big pieces take five sittings. Customers book the first; you schedule the rest as the work progresses. Each one shows up on the same client record so the artist knows where they left off without flipping through a notebook.

Custom pricing, custom services

Some artists charge by the hour, some by the piece, some quote a flat rate after the consult. The booking system handles all three — including custom price overrides per booking when the artist quotes a one-off piece.

Four things every Atelier tenant gets, on day one

  • A brand-fit URL. Pick a vertical-branded subdomain on day one (yourshop.atelier.salon, .tattoo, .spa, .dance, .fitness, .golf, .dog, .pet, .skin, or seated.studio). Connect a domain you own any time — no upgrade tier.
  • Pick a plan, not a parts list. Forms, staff profiles, two-way calendar sync, no-show protection, waitlists, resource scheduling, multi-location support — core booking is all in the plan. A handful of extras (text reminders on the free plan, the Grow Pack, reviews, in-person payments, the AI assistant) are clearly-priced add-ons — and the higher plans fold them in, so you can pick the plan that covers what you use instead of assembling line items.
  • Flat as your team grows. Unlimited staff, services, and customers — the same bill with five team members as with fifty, on every plan. Additional locations are a flat $25/month each, with your full plan at each.
  • A free directory listing. Every paid plan (Booking Pro and up) is auto-listed in the public Atelier directory. New customers find you there and click straight through to your booking URL — no commission, no per-booking fee, no marketplace cut.
