Privacy Policy
How Atelier Booking LLC collects, uses, and protects information on the Atelier platform. Last updated July 28, 2026.
Scope
This policy covers bookwithatelier.com, the Atelier directory, Atelier Studio, and the websites and booking pages of businesses powered by the Atelier platform, all operated by Atelier Booking LLC ("Atelier," "we"). Each business on the Platform is an independent company responsible for its own conduct; where you book with a business, that business decides how your booking information is used, and Atelier processes it on the business's behalf to provide the service.
What we collect
Account and contact details — name, email address, and phone number when you create an account, book an appointment, or sign up a business. Booking details — the services, times, staff, locations, and notes involved in appointments you make. Payment information — processed by payment processors such as Stripe; full card numbers never touch or reside on Atelier's servers. Communications — messages you exchange with a business through the Platform, including SMS and conversations with AI assistants, which may be logged for quality and support. Technical data — IP address, browser and device information, and the pages you visit, collected through server logs and cookies.
How we use it
To operate the Platform: create and manage bookings, send appointment confirmations and reminders, process payments through the business you book with, provide customer support, secure and debug the service, and — where you have opted in — send marketing communications from the business you patronize. We use aggregate, de-identified usage data to improve the Platform.
Who your booking belongs to
When you book with a business on the Platform, your booking and customer record belong to that business. Atelier does not use one business's customer list to market other businesses to you, and we do not sell personal information — anyone's, ever.
Sharing
We share information only with: the business you book with (your appointment is their record); service providers that operate parts of the Platform under contract — payment processing (Stripe), text messaging (Twilio), email delivery (Amazon SES / Apple iCloud), content delivery and security (Cloudflare), and calendar providers (Apple, Google, Microsoft) where a business has connected its calendar; and authorities where required by law or to protect the Platform and its users. We do not sell or rent personal information to data brokers or advertisers.
Text messaging
If you opt in to receive text messages from a business on the Platform (appointment reminders, follow-ups, or marketing), message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out or HELP for help; opt-outs are honored automatically. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchasing any service. Mobile numbers and opt-in status are never shared with third parties for their own marketing.
Retention
Account and booking records are kept for as long as the relevant account is active and as needed for legitimate business purposes (including tax and dispute records) afterward. AI conversation logs are pruned on a rolling schedule. You may request deletion as described below; businesses control retention of their own customer records.
Your choices and rights
You can access, correct, or delete your account information, or request a copy or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, by emailing [email protected]. California residents may exercise their rights to know, delete, and correct under California law through the same address; we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the CCPA, and we will never discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. If your request concerns a booking with a specific business, we may refer it to that business or assist them in fulfilling it.
Security
We protect personal information with industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit, credential and secret isolation, access controls, and audit logging. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but the Platform is designed so that the most sensitive data — full payment card numbers — is handled only by our payment processors and never stored by us.
Children
The Platform is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Updates are posted here with a revised "last updated" date, and material changes will be highlighted on this page or announced by email to account holders.
