Atelier Booking vs Calendly
Calendly is the best-known general-purpose scheduling tool — but it's built for a different shape of business than Atelier.

What Calendly does well
Calendly is excellent at what it's designed for: scheduling meetings between professionals, integrating with corporate calendars, embedding booking links in emails and signatures. The product is polished, the integrations are deep, and the user experience for picking a meeting time is among the best in the category.
How they price
A genuinely useful free tier (one event type, embeds included), then $10 per seat per month on Standard and $16 per seat on Teams when billed yearly — higher month to month — with Enterprise starting around $15,000 a year. Everything scales per seat: round-robin, routing, admin controls, and text-message credits all multiply by the number of people. Verify current pricing on their site.
How Atelier prices
Free Starter plan; paid plans from $29 a month — every seat included. At one person Calendly is cheaper, and we'd say so. At six chairs on their Teams plan you're paying for six seats; our price is the same $29 whether you have one chair or twelve. But price isn't really the comparison here — the two products solve different problems.
Where Atelier is different
Atelier is built for service businesses, not professional meetings. The differences add up: multi-service bundle bookings (Calendly handles one service per slot), in-person payments and POS integration, walk-ins, customer-facing service catalogs, loyalty programs, staff profile pages with reviews, multi-location, the staff substitution flow. None of that exists in Calendly because Calendly isn't trying to do it.
Two differences matter especially for a shop. Their appointment texts go out from rotating shared numbers and, in Calendly's own words, replies aren't delivered or monitored — so a client texting "running ten minutes late" reaches nobody. And their booking pages are deliberately kept out of search results, which is the right call for a sales rep's meeting link and the wrong one for a business that needs to be found.
Where Calendly might fit better
If you're scheduling consulting calls, sales meetings, interviews, or any kind of professional one-on-one without a service catalog or in-person component, Calendly is the right shape of tool — and genuinely excellent at it. Credit where it's due on a few points: their free tier includes the full embed widget (most platforms charge for that), US and Canada text reminders aren't metered, and each person's payments go straight to their own Stripe account with no middleman.
Who each is best for
Calendly fits knowledge workers and professionals scheduling meetings. Atelier fits service businesses — people who run shops, studios, clinics, and practices where customers book actual services with actual durations and actual in-person components.
